The second recital this year as part of the Weggis Sunday Concerts will also take place in the Protestant church. Lucerne-based Karin Inauen-Schaerer (pan flute) and Mathias Inauen (organ, piano) will treat their listeners to melodies from Irish and Romanian folklore, dance music from Spain, a goat dance and folk melodies from Appenzell and South America in the unusual combination of pan flute and organ. There is even a soundtrack in a duo version to the film "Forrest Gump" by Alan Silvestri and a waltz by Dmitri Shostakovich to provide an enjoyable change of pace.
The performers
Karin and Mathias Inauen have been performing as the duo PanTastico throughout German-speaking Switzerland and abroad since 2003 and have already produced several CDs together. In 2005, they appeared on Swiss television for the program "Weihnachtsstimmung" and in 2015 they provided the music for a televised church service on SRF. They have also given concerts with other musical partners, e.g. Nicolas Senn, Jodlerclub Edelweiss Luzern, Lucerne Choir and many others. Their repertoire includes works from the classical, rock and pop, light music and jazz genres.
