Take the Buiräbähnli up to the Brändlen high plateau at the foot of the Haldigrat. The home of the Schmitter family is also the ideal starting point for hikes.

Ueli Schmitter and his family have built themselves a little paradise at 1200 metres above sea level. The 25 or so Dexter cattle (Irish Highland cattle) also feel right at home in this idyllic setting. This breed is particularly suited to the steep mountain slopes. In addition, the Dexter cattle cause hardly any damage to the land and are therefore sustainable in terms of farming. The organic meat, which has a high beta-carotene value, is sold directly on the farm. For the Schmitter family, the cable car is part of their everyday life and connects their home with village life. There is no access road. In addition to the cattle, other animals enjoy life on the mountain. With a bit of luck, you might even spot the peacock, which belongs to the Brändlen like a farm dog. Overnight stays are possible on request.

The cable car runs every quarter hour at 00:00, 00:15, 00:30, and 00:45. The cable car is self-service and available around the clock (please follow the schedule).

The cable car must not be used during strong winds or thunderstorms.
