Please note
- It is forbidden to use live bait fish.
- The use of dead bait fish is permitted. However, they must come from Lake Sempach.
- Fishing with natural bait (worm, maggots, bread, etc.) is permitted without a fishing license.
- You may catch a maximum of 15 Balchen per day in Lake Sempach.
- Fishing above the "Balchenberg" in Lake Sempach is prohibited from November 15 to January 15.

Certificate of Competence (SaNa): The mandatory Swiss SaNa certificate is required for annual and monthly permits.
