Lake Eugeni is located in the lower part of the Engelberg valley floor. The lake is artificially regulated to generate electricity. Lake Eugeni is very popular and well-known among passionate fishermen. The finest brown and rainbow trout are released into the lake every week. So you can pull your own dinner out of the water.

Fishing is permitted in Lake Eugeni from April 15 to October 31. The only closed season is at night from 10 pm to 5 am. As new trout are released on Fridays, fishing is no longer permitted after 7.30 pm.
