You can get directly to the valley station of the Rotenfluebahn cable car by car or bus. From the mountain station, the fireplace is about 500 meters away on the circular trail. The cozy fireplace offers a small hut, a fire stove and an oven for barbecuing, as well as plenty of firewood. The best part, however, is probably the somewhat hidden viewpoint. A small path leads to the viewpoint, from where you can see over part of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains.
