A Tour of Myths
The ascent to the starting point and the descent back down to the valley are both easily covered by gondola. This makes the scenic panoramic tour ideal for families with children. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Alpthal, the Schwyz valley basin, and, of course, the two Mythen peaks. Various mountain inns invite you to stop for a break.
Starting from Rotenflue, the ascent is shorter and the hike takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes. From Sattel-Hochstuckli toward Rotenflue, the hike takes about 3 hours and 5 minutes.

Directions
- The Mythen Circuit begins at the Mostelberg mountain station. From there, the trail leads past the “Skywalk” suspension bridge toward Mostelegg. It continues along varied mountain trails to Holzegg, the well-known starting point for the ascent of the Grosser Mythen.
From Holzegg, the route follows the Panorama Trail over the Zwäcken to Rotenflue. Along the way, impressive views open up of the Schwyz Alps, the Schwyz valley basin, and numerous lakes in Central Switzerland.
The hike ends at the Rotenflue mountain station, from where you can take the cable car down to Rickenbach.
