Along the adventure trail, you and your family will repeatedly encounter stations where you can solve various tasks with Lea and Ben. You will learn playfully about topics such as suckler cow farming, sustainable feed, breed diversity, and waste on the pasture, and learn how to behave when hiking around cattle.
Children can play cow-calf-bull polo and thus learn what suckler cows mainly eat. Or they can ride a stick calf and lead the calf to its mother. Save lives by throwing aluminum cans into the trash bin. Who in the family is the best shooter? Why do some cows wear cowbells? Find out why and play a song with the bells. How do I behave when hiking around cows and calves? There are several more games to discover.
At the German boards, a QR code leads to the French translations.
The themed trail is open continuously from April 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025 / 2026.

Directions
From the village center, the adventure trail leads along the Mutterkuh Schweiz farms run by Beat Huber, Thomas Schwegler, and Severin Walther, who produce Natura-Beef from suckler cow husbandry. Along the way, you will therefore encounter a variety of breeds such as Grauvieh, Simmental, Limousin, Braunvieh, and various crosses. With nearly 40 recognized breeds, Mutterkuh Schweiz contributes significantly to breed diversity in Switzerland. Upon reaching the destination, signposts lead along the circular route back to the starting point. Now, in addition to suckler cows, dairy herds and cattle can also be seen. At the penultimate station, you will learn something about the different herds. If you have paid good attention, you can now distinguish cows, calves, and cattle on the way.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
The ascent from the first farm to the Wishubel hut is a bit steep, but nicely shaded by the forest. Those who prefer a more relaxed ascent can do the route in reverse.
