The Albert-Heim Hut is located at 2542 m above sea level.
From the mountain guesthouse Tiefenbach, the hiking path first goes up briefly, then runs flat into the alpine world. Only at the end is there a small ascent up to the Albert-Heim Hut.
On the way back, you can either walk the same path back or do a nice circular hike over the Schafberg. The path over the Schafberg is good but narrower than the main path leading to the hut.

Directions & Parking facilities
By car you can reach Tiefenbach directly via the Furka Pass road.
The number of parking spaces at Tiefenbach is limited, so it is recommended to park in Realp and take the PostBus up.
With the PostBus you can get directly from Realp to the starting point Tiefenbach and back again. The timetable is as follows: PostBus timetable
