The Nepali Highway in the Furka Mountains offers hikers a small piece of Nepal in the middle of the Swiss Alps. This unique path connects the Sidelenhütte and the Albert-Heim-Hütte SAC by the shortest route and leads through breathtaking alpine landscapes. The path, with its charm and scenic diversity, recalls the famous trekking routes of Nepal and offers spectacular views of rugged rocks and impressive glaciers. Directions

The route starts from the Sidelenhütte with a descent. Fixed ropes assist at 2-3 non-exposed sections, and several times you have to balance over large boulders. However, these are stable. Soon you pass at the foot of the Chli Bielenhorn. After another descent, the view opens onto the Tiefengletscher and the Galenstock. There is another easy scrambling section before the short ascent up to the Albert-Heim-Hütte SAC.

Getting there

By private car via the Furka Pass road to the pass summit. There is a parking lot there. However, for this route, it is recommended to use public transport since you will not return to the starting point.
