The climb to Gütsch from Andermatt via Nätschen can be shortened by taking the train to the Nätschen station. This way you can also avoid the traffic on the pass road. The ascent is mostly paved but has some steep parts, especially in the second half. The views on top are spectacular as you traverse to Lutersee. Just after the lake a technical downhill starts, the trails is a little eroded but well rideable and fun for good riders.
Back at the Oberalp the character of the ride changes completely. A wide and super flowy trail leads down into direction Andermatt. Watch out and slow down for pedestrains on this fast section, please! Close to Nätschen the trail becomes a little harder again with beautiful sections on solid granite rock just above Andermatt.
