Directions & Parking facilities

The Oberalp Pass starting point is closed to traffic in winter and therefore not directly accessible. To get there, you first have to drive to Sedrun or Andermatt and continue by train from there. As soon as the pass opens in spring, it will be possible to drive to the top of the pass again.

When the pass is open, parking is available directly on the Oberalp Pass. If the pass is closed, parking spaces can be used in Andermatt or Sedrun.

First take the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway to the Oberalp Pass and then the mountain railroad to the Schneehühnerstock. You can find the operating times for the Schneehühnerstock Express here and the timetable for the train here.
