Circular hike Sarnen - Flüeli - Sarnen
The hike starts from Sarnen station along the railway tracks heading south, crosses the railway tracks and then passes the Protestant church on the right. After crossing the motorway and the Melchaa river, the hiking trail turns left towards the Sarnen Lourdes Grotto. It is worth making a stop here to enjoy this special place.
After the stop, a short steep path leads up to the Hohflue and then along the Melchaa embankment to the Hohe Brücke. At the Hohe Brücke, you can hear the water rushing 100 meters below.
After a short stretch along the road towards Flüeli, the path turns left after 500 meters and passes the Art Nouveau hotel Paxmontana and the residence of Brother Klaus on the way to Flüeli. It is worthwhile to make a detour to Ranft here, where Brother Klaus lived as a hermit.
Following the Path of Visions, the hike leads to Sachseln. Various wonderful viewpoints with seating invite you to rest. The path leads into the center of Sachseln, from there to the station, and finally back to Sarnen along the popular lake path. Along Lake Sarnen, there are many places to sit and rest.

On the A2 from Lucerne through the tunnel onto the A8 towards Interlaken, change to Sarnen and then take the A8 to the Sarnen North exit.
