We start in the beautiful old town of Willisau towards Untertor/train station. After Untertor, turn right onto the Herzschlaufe 399, where the first climb towards Vorberg already follows. With the Napf ahead, we ride on the ridge towards Vorberg and Mörisegg before descending to Hergiswil. Â
Continuing on asphalt and gravel roads along Herzschlaufe 399 to the Wiggernhütte. Here we are at one of the many starting points for hikes on the Napf, as well as at the southernmost point of our tour. Then we descend swiftly through the «hell» valley downwards before the steep climb to Menzberg begins. Upon arriving at the Oberlehn Menzberg viewpoint, we enjoy the magnificent panoramic view from the Jura over the Alps to the Black Forest.
After the well-deserved rest at the Gasthof Menzberg, we ride back to Oberlehn. There we turn onto the Mountainbike route 77, which leads us back towards Hergiswil b. From there we know the way and master the final climb on the Vorberg brilliantly before turning left back into the old town of Willisau.
