The 28 km trails in the Andermatt holiday region run through the valley floor from Andermatt via Hospental to Realp. They are designed for classic cross-country skiing and skating.

The whole body is trained in the sun and fresh air. The trails run through the valley floor from Andermatt via Hospental to Realp. They are designed for classic cross-country skiing and skating. Those who do not want to do the entire route can choose a smaller loop in Andermatt or Realp.

Locker rooms, toilets, and showers are available to cross-country skiers in Zumdorf at the restaurant “zum Dörfli” and at the Realp biathlon center. In Andermatt, changing rooms, toilets, and showers are available at “The Nordic House.”

In Realp, winter sports enthusiasts can also ski under the starry sky at night. Current information about the opening hours of the night trail is available at www.andermatt.swiss/langlauf

Directions

The cross-country ski trail leads from Andermatt to Realp. Relatively direct, without many loops, the ski trail runs along the Furkareuss. There are a few small climbs on the route, but it is also well suited for beginners.

Cross-country skiing equipment, sun protection, and possibly refreshments can be rented at various sports shops.

Directions & Parking facilities

By car, you reach Andermatt via the A2 to Göschenen, then drive the winding Schöllenenstrasse to Andermatt. At the roundabout at the entrance to the village, the second exit leads to the bypass road. After about 200 meters, take the right turn to the Nordic House.

There are day parking spaces near the Nordic House.

To start on the trail in Andermatt, it is worthwhile to travel by train to Andermatt and then take the ski bus to the Nordic House.

Additional information

For using the trails in the Urserntal, there are day, weekly, and season passes.

Andermatt has good access to the Urserntal trail and is also easily reachable by train. Extended cross-country ski days can thus be comfortably combined with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. With the Urserntal trail pass, guests can travel free of charge on the Andermatt-Realp route during the validity period.
