Hike
On the path in the Bisistal with flowers and snakes in a wild romantic area.

The bus stop "Hinter Seeberg" Bisistal at the EBS (Electricity Works of the Schwyz District) power plant, which was built near the largest karst spring of the Muotatal, is our starting point. The Bisistal is one of the areas with the highest rainfall on the northern side of the Alps, so it was obvious to use hydropower. Therefore, various power plants were built along the Muota between 1952 and 1970.

On a steep path, we reach the Rätschtal, known for its rich display of flowers. On the sunny slope, adders can often be observed sunbathing. At the Hinterste Hütte we take the path southwards over the "Stägen" towards Geitenberg. The steeply upright limestone layers present themselves impressively here. At the highest point of our hike, the cross on the Geitenberg, where the traces of the August 1st fire are still visible, our efforts are rewarded with the view of a unique mountain range. In the mountain spring, we are surprised here by an unexpected variety of flowers, with the yellow of the auricle (Vorblüemli) standing out widely visible among arnica, vervain, anemone, hawkweed, globeflower, orchid, and devil's claw. In the wild romantic, steep terrain down to Bärensol and Schwarzenbach, adders also still live.

The Schwarzenbach restaurant is located on a hillock that was of strategic importance in ancient times. Tools made of bronze found in the penultimate century testify to the presence of ancient hunters from around 1800 BC.

We reach the starting point Seeberg via the cross path that leads down from the chapel in Schwarzenbach to Schönenboden.
