- Destination: Muotathal
It is best to start the ascent at the hamlet Schwarzenbach in the Bisital as early in the morning as possible. A few meters above the guesthouse, leave the road and follow the alpine road towards Galtenäbnet. At point 1262, choose the path to Gigenalp. At the Gigen alpine hut, you are already above the tree line. In a small valley, ascend towards the Träsmerenseeli. On the right, you will be accompanied by the bizarre and almost threatening rock bastions of the First East Ridge. At the Träsmerenseeli, there is a fantastic view of the Chaiserstock range. The descent to Liplis takes place over the Ober Träsmeren. Passing the Alp Zingel, you reach the alpine guesthouse, which invites thirsty and hungry hikers to rest. Thirst can also be quenched 10 minutes further down at the mountain inn “Liplisbüel.” On the way to Muotatal, you are following the footsteps of the Russian General Suworow, who in 1799 marched with his soldiers over the Chinzig Chulm into the Muotatal.
