With Titlis at your back and the local mountain Hahnen in view – you glide quietly through the Gerschniwald. On the Gerschnialp cross-country ski trail, both connoisseurs and ambitious skiers get their money's worth.

The Gerschni Cross-Country Ski Trail on Gerschnialp above Engelberg offers a varied cross-country skiing experience in the heart of a beautiful winter mountain landscape. The approximately 10-kilometre route leads through the snow-covered Gerschni forest and across the open terrain between Gerschnialp and Untertrübsee. The trail combines flatter sections with short, more challenging climbs, making it ideal for experienced and ambitious cross-country skiers who enjoy both a sporting challenge and the peace and beauty of the Engelberg mountains.

The varied terrain creates a pleasant rhythm throughout the tour: short climbs require stamina and good technique, while flatter sections offer the opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenery. The Gasthaus Gerschnialp – Café Ritz, located directly beside the trail, is an ideal place to stop for a break.

The route continues towards Untertrübsee before returning to Gerschnialp. After completing the tour, the mountain railway takes you comfortably back down to Engelberg.
