In three daily stages through the regions of Willisau, Oberaargau, Emmental and Entlebuch. This route impresses with its diverse landscapes and low-traffic paths.

150 kilometers, 3 daily stages and 4200 meters of altitude

Since April 2018, the Herzschlaufe Napf complements the Herzroute. The three-day circular route starts in Willisau, leads to Langnau and the Entlebuch and ends again in Willisau. The route goes through hilly countryside and mostly follows low-traffic paths. On ridges and heights, there is a wonderful view of the Napf landscape and the Alps. Combine your route with a stop at inns and taverns offering regional specialties and relax in the quietly located guesthouses and hotels along the route in the evening.

The 3 daily stages of the Herzschlaufe Napf

Stage Willisau – Langnau
The 57 km lead through the green Willisauer Land and along lush meadows of the Emmental and Oberaargau. On the first stage, 1500 meters of altitude must be overcome – it goes up and down through the wonderful pre-Alpine landscape.

Stage Langnau - Entlebuch
On this shortest stage of 44 km, you will experience a great day in the Emmental and Entlebuch. The landscape with its green hills and valleys is unique at any time of the day.

Stage Entlebuch – Willisau
Discover countless sights of the Napf along the low-traffic route: Romoos, the wild Fontanne, a tributary of the Kleine Emme, Menzberg located over 1000 m above sea level, the romantic Luthertal and much more. The charming town of Willisau invites you to take a break with its beautiful old town. After 54 km and 1600 meters of altitude, you have earned a nice dinner in Willisau.

Herzroute number 99
In Veloland Switzerland, the Herzroute with the sign number 99 has been established for several years. It leads from Lake Constance to Lake Geneva (or vice versa) on selected paths through touristically interesting areas. Rent a Bike and Eurotrek offer rental bikes on the route.
