The section Werthenstein - Willisau is part of the Luzerner Weg, which will lead us from Lucerne to Rüeggisberg. We are on the Swiss Jakobswege.

Today's daily section will take us over a distance of 14.2 km with an approximate walking time of 4.0 hours from Werthenstein to Willisau. We can expect an easy day stage. We start the hike at Werthenstein Monastery and immediately cross the Kleine Emme. We follow the signposted paths and after about 1.5 km cross the Bielbach and the main road. The path leads us further over Buholz. We pass through the Galgenbergwald and reach here after about 5.0 km at 672 m altitude the highest point of today's stage. After another 2.0 km we arrive in Geiss. We continue following the field path past the Schwander Alp and reach the Seewagweg. We follow this path and arrive in Willisau. The route today takes us over asphalt and natural paths.
