Murmeliweg - around the Laucherenstöckli

The hike starts at Ibergeregg and initially leads towards Sternegg, where an impressive view of Lake Lucerne, Mount Rigi, and the Stoos mountain already unfolds. The trail continues steadily uphill through light forest until the tree line is reached and the idyllic Laucheren Chapel comes into view. The path then leads to the Laucheren mountain station before the descent begins towards the legendary Mördergrueb (Murder's Grotto). Through gnarled spruce trees, glimpses of the striking Mythen peaks repeatedly open up. The return route leads via Sternegg back to Ibergeregg, thus concluding this varied circular hike. Alternative: Shortly after the Laucheren Chapel, there is the option of choosing a slightly shorter but steeper route directly towards Steinboden (Lauchern mountain station).
