Tip

Difficulty: easy
cross country skiing

The Finsterwald trails above Entlebuch are among the most beautiful in Central Switzerland.

Trail report Bergfex

The Nesslebrunnebode trail starts directly at the drilling platform - an old industrial monument of Entlebuch. Gas was extracted here in the 1980s. The trail leads over flat raised bog and meadowland and offers wonderful views of these beautiful natural landscapes in their white winter coat. With only short descents and small climbs, the trail, which is at most 2.5 km long, is also suitable for beginners. Below the drilling platform, you will also find a large practice area. The trail is quickly accessible from the Finsterwald parking lot.

The Finsterwald trail consists of three sections: trail Nesslebrunnebode, Wissenegg and Mettilimoos.

A section about 1.8 km long serves as a night trail and is illuminated on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
