Nidwalden Beer Trail Klewenalp-Stockhütte

Up with the cable car, into the experience! The Nidwaldner Bierpfad takes you from the Klewenalp to the Stockhütte - with four enjoyable stops, a delicious 3-course meal and an earth refrigerator in the middle of nature.

Starting point: Beckenried-Klewenalp cable car valley station, Kirchweg 27, 6375 Beckenried

The total hiking distance is approx. 6 km.

Procedure

Beckenried-Klewenalp cable car valley station: exchange your online ticket for the hiking description and take the cable car to the top.

Naturfreundehaus Röthen: First stop, first beer! A delicious dry sausage to go with it, the perfect start to get your stomach and mood going.

Twäregg: A cold beer awaits in the underground fridge in the middle of nature. No kidding, you have to hike for it! But it comes with a breathtaking panorama. Please note that the earth fridge is only filled with beer.

Berggasthaus Stockhütte: time for some refreshments: cheese slices with fried egg and, of course, the next beer.

Emmetten-Stockhütte gondola mountain station: A leisurely ride back down to the valley in the gondola.

Restaurant Dorfklatsch: Crèmeschnitte meets the last beer of the day. A tasty finale in a relaxed atmosphere.

Return journey: Relax on the bus back. You've earned it!

Directions & Parking facilities

Highway A2 (Basel-Chiasso-Italy), 2 exits for Beckenried:

- Exit Buochs/Beckenried or

- Exit Beckenried/Emmetten.

Beckenried is located approx. 20 km south of Lucerne.

Parking lot directly at the valley station of the Klewenalp cable car for CHF 5/day.

Take the SBB to Lucerne, change trains and take the Zentralbahn to Stans, change trains and take the bus to Beckenried

The ticket includes the post bus from Emmetten to Beckenried.
