Up with the cable car, into the experience! The Nidwalden Beer Trail takes you from Klewenalp to Stockhütte – with four enjoyable stops, a fine 3-course menu, and an earth refrigerator right in nature.

Start point: Valley station cable car Beckenried-Klewenalp, Kirchweg 27, 6375 Beckenried

The total hiking length is about 6 km.

Procedure

Valley station mountain railway Beckenried-Klewenalp: Exchange your online ticket for the hiking description and off you go with the mountain railway to the top.

Nature friends house Röthen: First stop, first beer! With a fine dried sausage, the perfect start to get your stomach and mood going.

Twäregg: A cool beer awaits in the earth refrigerator right in nature. No joke, you have to hike it! In return, there is a breathtaking panorama included. Note, the earth refrigerator is filled exclusively with beer.

Mountain inn Stockhütte: Time for the big meal: Cheese slice with fried egg and naturally the next beer.

Top station gondola Emmetten–Stockhütte: Relaxed gondola ride back down to the valley.

Restaurant Dorfklatsch: Cream slice meets the last beer of the day. A tasty finish in a relaxed atmosphere.

Return: Very relaxed by bus back. You earned it!

Directions & Parking facilities

Highway A2 (Basel-Chiasso-Italy), 2 exits for Beckenried:

- Exit Buochs/Beckenried or

- Exit Beckenried/Emmetten.

Beckenried is about 20 km south of Lucerne.

Parking directly at the valley station of the Klewenalp cable car for CHF 5.-/day.

By SBB to Lucerne, change to the Zentralbahn to Stans, change again and take the bus to Beckenried

The ticket includes the PostBus from Emmetten to Beckenried.
