After taking the aerial cableway from Emmetten up to Niederbauen, the route begins with an easy 4 km descent. Soon the ascent to the ridge begins, to reach the Jochlistock and Gandispitz on the way to Oberbauenstock. From the summit, you then descend 100 meters and branch off on the north side of the ridge.
The descent is a bit demanding for a few steps but then continues over a gently sloping path, first through rocks and then over a very long traverse cut into a flower-covered slope. From there it goes back to Niederbauen, where you can enjoy the view of Lake Lucerne once again. Then take the aerial cableway back to Emmetten.Â
