The so-called 'Polenweg' (built by Polish internees during World War II) offers an exciting hike in the protective forest on the north slope of the Rigi. The starting point, Seebodenalp, can be reached comfortably by the Küssnacht Seebodenalp cable car. The path leads over Grodstäfeli towards Alpetli, where you can enjoy an excellent view of the Zug region with Lake Zug, up to Oberarth.
The hike can also be done in the opposite direction.
Notes
The current operating status of the railways and hiking trails can be found here.
To ensure that future generations can also enjoy the Queen of the Mountains, please dispose of your waste at the stations of the Rigi railways. Thank you.

Directions & Parking facilities
Via Autobahn A4, exit Küssnacht, then via Zuger and Nordstrasse to the center and further towards Weggis, until the Küssnacht Seebodenalp cable car.
However, we recommend public transport instead of car: sit back, enjoy and also do something good for the environment.
Getting there is easy by train and bus:
With the SBB to Küssnacht. SBB timetable Line 29 Meggen-Merlischachen-Küssnacht; Line 2 Schwyz-Küssnacht

I recommend a refreshment before the hike at Hotel Seebodenalp. Enjoy the view of the Küssnacht lake basin and the Pilatus.
