The demanding route, although not technically very difficult, requires good fitness but rewards you with wonderful panoramic views.
After the flat section along Lake Lucerne, the climb to the Gätterli Pass begins from Gersau. Via Alp Egg and Gottertli, the ride leads to Timpelweid. Shortly before Urmiberg there is a short push section. Then it goes down rapidly into the valley and along the Muota back to the starting point.

The lakeside road from Brunnen to Gersau is heavily trafficked on weekends. This route is only signposted in one direction: Brunnen - Gersau - Gätterli - Brunnen.
