Undulating and varied training route on the ski jump area.

The starting point of the cross-country trail is at the Nordic Center. The nearly 2 km long route on the ski jump area at Sportingpark offers a varied training route with undulating terrain. Since 2018, there has been an additional, challenging but varied section with a loop over the Bänzenrüti, which can also be bypassed. The trail is groomed for classic and skating styles. Changing and shower facilities are available in the Nordic Center next to the route.

For night owls, the trail is illuminated every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, weather permitting.

Directions & Parking facilities

Getting there
By car, take the A2 (Basel-Gotthard) to Stans South, then 20 km on the main road to Engelberg. Engelberg is 30 minutes from Lucerne, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Basel, Zurich, or Bern.
Parking
Parking is available in Engelberg for a fee.
Public transportation
National and international connections (from Zurich Airport, connections every half hour with about 1 hour travel time) to Lucerne. Then with the Zentralbahn in 43 minutes through varied landscapes and gorges up to Engelberg.
