- Destination: Furkapass summit
The hiking trail for day hikers, mountaineers, and climbers is short. The hut is also suitable as a destination for families.
From Furkapass/Hotel Furkablick (2427 m above sea level), five kilometers past Hotel Tiefenbach, a nicely designed path ascends to a high moorland area. The beautiful hut trail starts as a gently ascending path over mountain meadows until crossing the Sidelenbach (2524 m above sea level). Afterwards, one climbs over moraines past the mountain lake (2674 m above sea level) up to the Sidelenhütte. At the foot of the Galenstock at 2708 m above sea level, the hut invites you to take a break. With a magnificent panorama, you have views of the imposing granite walls, glaciers, and rocks in the high alpine terrain. From the hut, various further routes for hiking, climbing, and mountaineering start.
