This circular hike starts in the holiday resort Sörenberg and first leads through shady forest paths and an impressive moorland up to Rossweid. The ascent is manageable and offers beautiful views and peace amidst nature along the way.
Once at the top on Rossweid, families can look forward to a special highlight: the Mooraculum, a large, natural adventure playground in the middle of the moor area. Here children can play, discover, and experience the moor with all their senses, while adults enjoy the wonderful view.
Afterwards, the path gently descends past the ski hut Alphotel Schwand back to Sörenberg.

Directions & Parking facilities
The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch lies in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Sörenberg via the main road 10 towards Schüpfheim and from there to Flühli Sörenberg up to the village center of Sörenberg.
In summer, you can reach Sörenberg via Sarnen - Giswil over the Glaubenbielen Pass.
A paid parking lot is available at the valley station of the Rossweid gondola.
You can reach Sörenberg by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne railway line). From Schüpfheim, take the post bus to Sörenberg, Post. Plan your trip with the SBB online timetable.
