The Steinberg freeride descent leads over the glacier and is one of the BIG 5 of Engelberg.

There are various options for the descent over the Steinberg from Klein Titlis to Trübsee. All variants lead over the glacier in the upper part. There is a risk of crevasses. The classic "S" is the easiest and most rewarding option to circumvent the larger crevasse zone. Other variants are: "GaF" (Close to the rock), left of the cable car and "Never Sun".

Notes

  • There is danger of crevasses and falls! 3020m above sea level - 1764m above sea level.
  • Be especially careful in fog or poor visibility.
