Famous for its ski tours, the mountain is also well worth hiking on in summer. After reaching Furka Pass altitude, the beautiful Alpine trail leads past idyllic mountain lakes and all the way up to the Stotzigen Firsten. The descent across a wide grassy ridge down into the Witenwasseren valley is leisurely. At the very end, you will follow the tracks of the Furka Mountain Steam Railway to Realp.

Directions & Parking facilities
It is advisable to drive to Realp by car and then take the post bus to the Furka Pass, as the starting and finishing points are not the same.
In Realp there are parking facilities directly at the train station and in the village. Further information can be found at the municipality: Parking Realp

Safety guidelines
Hikers should keep an eye on the weather forecast in advance, as the hike is at over 2000 m above sea level and there may therefore be light snowfall in extreme cases.
