Switzerland Mobility 560: Lucerne Lake Shore Path

3.48 km long
Walk
The route from Lucerne train station to Hotel Seeburg leads along the promenade by the magnificent Lake Lucerne. Impressive architecture, colorful bustle on the urban quay, and a captivating view offer an entertaining excursion.

A detour to the enchanting city of Lucerne is always worthwhile. Right at the station at the starting point of the route, you can enjoy the sight of the KKL building with its magnificent roof structure. Immediately after follow the harbor and Lucerne's landmark, the historic Chapel Bridge.

You soon find yourself on the prominent lakeside promenade, which leads to Hotel Seeburg, the destination. You stroll comfortably along the wide quay. On the lake side, you enjoy the view over the water, the ships arriving and departing, as well as the splendid panorama. Besides the harbor, you pass many charming piers and attractively designed viewing platforms.

The urban atmosphere is shaped by the imposing buildings you pass by, such as the Casino Palace or later the Swiss Museum of Transport. Shortly before the destination, you can catch an extensive view of the well-maintained Lido beach. Then you reach Hotel Seeburg, also a historically interesting building.
