Around Andermatt you will find eight legendary Alpine passes that invite you to pass rides. The Gotthard region entices with a fascinating alpine scenery, Swiss history, architectural masterpieces, and many curves.

Get on your racing bike and take on the challenge of the 106 kilometers over the Furka, Nufenen, and Gotthard passes. Bruno Risi, the former world and European champion in track cycling, Olympic silver medalist, and multiple winner of six-day races, takes you on his route. Experience a ride that is demanding both in endurance and experience.

Pass crossings have an old tradition
The Gotthard massif belongs to one of the most historically significant areas of Switzerland and early on connected northern and southern Europe. The Alpine crossing over the Gotthard pass was one of the most important trade routes and was passable until the early 19th century via a simple mule track. Around 1830, the legendary Tremola, an architectural masterpiece that still impresses today, was built.
