Seelisberg offers a great view from the Schiller balcony and later from the Marienhöhe of Rütli, Lake Uri, and the two Mythen mountains. Through the romantic Tannwald and past the Bergseeli, Beroldingen Castle at an ideal location invites you to a short rest and visit to the chapel with the Rococo altar. Now it goes downhill with 960 steps on impressive historical path surfaces with built alleys and paved paths to cushion the steep descent. Bauen on Lake Uri is climatically favored, allowing banana and palm trees to grow here. At the remarkable village church stands the monument of Father Alberik Zwyssig. A final ascent leads over the old country road and the magnificent viewpoint Bärchi to the village of Isenthal, the end of the Via Urschweiz.
