The canton of Schwyz cultivates and cares for a fine drop of wine. The grapes grow on the vineyards at Leutschen. On this route, you can learn much more than just the production of wine. The path is also a pleasure in terms of scenery.

Since April 2004, 23 panels at Leutschen in Freienbach inform passing hikers about the daily work in the vineyard, the growth of the grapes, and the cultural beauty of the region.

The vineyard path leads from Wilen via Breiten to Freienbach (Leutschenhaus) and along the vineyards back to Wilen.

It is an attractive themed educational path amid the vineyards, which is also easy to manage for inexperienced hikers.

If you need a refreshment break, the Leutschenhaus restaurant with its historic wine press is directly on the path. And if you have extra energy after the educational path, you can visit, for example, Europe's largest water park, the Alpamare, in Pfäffikon. Not only children enjoy this, but certainly very much so. Little ones also appreciate Knie's children's zoo in Rapperswil. Those who prefer a more leisurely and nature-oriented experience can visit the Frauenwinkel nature reserve, also in Pfäffikon.
