Wissifluh - Vitznauer-/Gersauerstock - Fälmis - Wissifluh

Both Vitznau and Gersau regard this 1450 m high border summit between Lucerne and Schwyz as their local mountain. Therefore, the summit also carries the names of both places.

From the Wissifluh mountain station, you initially hike leisurely to the Wissifluh Hotel. From here you have a great view over Lake Lucerne and the Bürgenstock peninsula. Now begins the actual climb to Ausserurmi (1070 m), continuing to Oberurmi and from there to the summit of Vitznauer-/Gersauerstock. The exciting descent leads over Fälmis back to Wissifluh, where you can comfortably take the cable car back to the starting point in Vitznau.

This demanding route is only suitable for experienced hikers and requires sure-footedness and fitness. The most difficult sections are secured with ropes, and a ladder helps you overcome narrow passages. Your reward for this hiking effort is a magnificent view of the Inner Swiss mountain world and a truly alpine summit experience for your hiking log.
