The walk starts at Post Kerns. Past the roundabout, turn right into Flüelistrasse and follow the road to Grundboden. Continue on side streets until the path in front of the Hohe Bridge rejoins Flüelistrasse. After crossing the bridge, you can continue along the road or take the path along the forest. Past the beautiful Art Nouveau Hotel Paxmontana, the village of Flüeli is soon reached.

From Lucerne or Interlaken take the Lucerne-Interlaken Express to Sarnen. From Sarnen take the post bus to Kerns Post.
Return journey with the post bus from Flüeli-Ranft village to Sachseln station. From Sachseln take the Lucerne-Interlaken Express to Lucerne or Interlaken.
