The Roggenstock is Oberiberg’s iconic local mountain and ranks among the most beautiful scenic peaks in the Ybrig region. This varied hike leads through blooming alpine meadows, along mountain trails, and past impressive landscapes all the way to the summit. Once you reach the top, a spectacular panoramic view awaits you of the Ybrig mountains, the Mythen range, Lake Lucerne, and numerous peaks in Central Switzerland.
The Roggenstock is a popular hiking destination for anyone who wants to combine nature, exercise, and scenic summit experiences. Along the way, various rest areas invite you to linger and offer ever-changing views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Our tip: Set out early in the morning and experience the sunrise on the Roggenstock, when the first rays of sunlight bathe the mountain peaks in warm light. Equally impressive is a hike at sunset, when the evening light bathes the landscape in golden hues-an unforgettable experience of nature.
