This scenic section is part of the "Luzerner Weg", which leads from Lucerne to Rüeggisberg.

The path takes us through the old town and then past the cemetery up to Hirschpark and further to the Gütch viewpoint, from where we can still take a look at Willisau before we dive into the forest. Soon the landscape opens up and we hike on varied paths towards Emmental with constant ups and downs. Time and again there are beautiful views of the Alps and the Jura mountain range. Along the way, we cross the Border Trail, which runs between the cantons of Lucerne and Bern.
