- Destination: Göschenen station
An easy but adventurous route leads us from the Göscheneralp out into the Reuss valley. We start at the dam of the Göscheneralp reservoir. The path leads us down to Jäntelboden and past the hamlet of Gwüest, which is inhabited year-round. Besides marmots, we will surely encounter a herd of goats. The many little lakes delight and invite you to cool your feet. Children will find a wild outdoor playground at Jäntelboden. We pass the Göscheneralp campsite and then gradually climb towards Hutzgenboden. Now we have reached the highest point of the route. From now on, it only goes downhill.
The flora becomes increasingly varied and interesting. Slowly we enter the battle zone of the forest. The shapes of the trees tell their long history. Although many trees are not that huge, many of them are very old.
The relaxed route leads us to Wandflueseeli. Here we stop and refresh ourselves. A small lake in the middle of a steep mountain forest, a primeval and wild romantic place. You would most like to stay here.
After the break, the descent begins. It is steep at first. That is why it is worthwhile to wear good footwear. But already in Abfrutt, the path flattens again and we can enjoy the last kilometers in the shade of the trees.
