From Emmetten, take the cable car to Niederbauen. At the mountain station there is a coffee with a fantastic view of Lake Lucerne and the Alps right next door in the Niederbauen mountain inn. The groomed winter hiking trail leads from the mountain station towards Ebnet and further to Hund-Chopf. After enjoying the view, return on the same route back to the mountain station.

Directions & Parking facilities
Take the A2 motorway Luzern-Gotthard, exit Seelisberg/Emmetten/Beckenried and drive towards Emmetten.
Paid parking spaces are available in Emmetten at the valley station of the Emmetten-Stockhütte gondola. From there the valley station of the Emmetten-Niederbauen cable car is 300 meters (approx. 5 minutes) away.
The Emmetten, Post station from Stans is easily accessible by postal bus. The Emmetten-Niederbauen cable car is 300 meters (approx. 5 minutes) from the bus station.
