The Titlis funicular takes you from the TITLIS valley station up to Gerschnialp. From the mountain station, continue a short way along the track until you reach the well-signposted starting point of the winter hiking trail. This leads shortly to the first highlight of the route, the Gerschniwald. Deeply snow-covered firs, covered tree stumps, and the crunching of snow underfoot allow you to immerse yourself in a fairy-tale world. Once the forest edge at Schlegi is reached, proceed along the open terrain at Bitzistock. Here a view into the valley is recommended. Soon the mountain restaurant Untertrübsee appears in the distance, the endpoint of the route. At the Untertrübsee restaurant, the meringue with cream is a secret tip. Planning a stop is worthwhile. The return is along the same way.
