Wisstannen tour

The tour starts in the village of Unteriberg and initially takes a leisurely route towards Weglosen. After the hamlet of Waag, the route branches off onto a gravel path along the young Sihl and runs through the valley to Stuben. The longer but steady ascent up to Wisstannenweid begins there.

As the altitude increases, beautiful views of the surrounding hills and the foothills of the Alps around Lake Sihl open up. The Alpwirtschaft Wisstannen is an ideal opportunity for a short break before the long descent towards Euthal begins. A short stop with a view over Lake Sihl and the surrounding mountain landscape is particularly worthwhile halfway down.

The descent leads mostly along natural roads and alpine paths down to Euthal. Afterwards, the route crosses the large bridge over Lake Sihlsee and follows secondary and main roads back to Unteriberg. A varied tour for leisure cyclists and touring bikers who appreciate scenic views and long natural descents.
