The first mountain bike lift route in central Switzerland offers a unique mountain panorama with varied single trails and a diverse gastronomy offering.

The lift route Mythenregion – Hoch-Ybrig offers a great experience for all-mountain, enduro, and touring riders. No matter where you start, the lift route can be adapted to individual preferences. Of the total 1997 altitude meters, you can cover 1691 altitude meters with the Rotenfluebahn gondola (Mythenregion) and the Laucheren and Sternen chairlifts (Hoch-Ybrig). As a sporty mountain biker, you can also pedal up the climbs. As a less experienced singletrail rider, you can partially avoid descents on paved roads. Thanks to the ascent aids, you also save a lot of time. This leaves more time to enjoy the unique panorama on the sun terraces of the various restaurants on the round trip or to ride a section twice.

For additional altitude meters

Mountain bikers who want to pedal additional altitude meters can skip the chairlift from the valley station Laucheren in Oberiberg and tackle the steep ascent directly to Fuederegg on Hoch-Ybrig. From the Laucheren parking lot you ride back on the road towards Oberiberg village and then turn right towards Ibergeregg. After 570 m turn left until you arrive about 400 altitude meters later at Fuederegg. If you have not had enough here, you can also skip the Sternen chairlift and continue to ascend along the road to Nätschboden. This adds an additional 161 altitude meters. If you skip the Rotenfluebahn and pedal the 806 altitude meters from the valley station Rotenflue to Ibergeregg (along the pass road), you get even more altitude meters.

For uncertain singletrail riders

From Ibergeregg, instead of the trail to Hand for the descent, you can also take the pass road, which also brings you to Hand. There you either follow the route or the pass road further down to the valley station Rotenfluebahn in Rickenbach / SZ. For the descent from Ibergeregg towards Oberiberg, instead of the trail via Hobacher, you can also take the Ibergeregg pass road again to get to the parking lot of the Laucheren chairlift valley station in Oberiberg.

Safety guidelines

There are no service stations for broken mountain bikes along the route yet. It is therefore recommended to carry suitable equipment for small repairs. On the entire round trip, the trail tolerance applies:

"Hikers and mountain bikers use the same paths without restrictions. This is made possible by a tolerant and considerate attitude from all sides. Mountain bikers slow down to walking pace when overtaking and stop when crossing on narrow paths to make room for hikers. Mountain bikers brake carefully (avoiding wheel lockup) to prevent damage to the paths and do not leave the paths. And pedestrians also accept mountain bikers as equal path users and give way whenever possible and sensible."
