Hiking on the Eggberge is a pleasure at any time of year. In both summer and winter, they offer ideal starting points for hikes of all levels of difficulty, from leisurely Sunday strolls to challenging day trips. Enjoy the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains  

Our tip: the Schächental High Trail. Hike along the Schächen Valley towards the Klausen Pass and be enchanted by the wonderful mountain scenery. With the round trip ticket, you benefit from a special price for the PostBus and the four cable cars Eggberge, Ruogig, Biel-Kinzig and Ratzi to shorten the route as much as you like.

The Eggberge not only offer hikes, but are also a paradise for climbing enthusiasts. After a hike, you can improve your skills at the Lidernenhütte or on the Fruttstägä via ferrata. Prefer to take to the air? The paragliding launch site is just a quarter of an hour from the mountain station. Families can enjoy the playground right next to the cable car station or take a short hike to the Fleschsee lake, where you can barbecue on the Swiss family barbecue site.

The Eggberge mountain inn, located right next to the cable car mountain station, is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. Your physical well-being is catered for here and overnight guests are very welcome. Further accommodation options are offered by numerous lodges and holiday flats. Since summer 2022, Berglodge 37, a sustainable seminar centre for a break in the mountains of Uri, has also been awaiting you.
