The Fumetto Comic Festival Lucerne focuses on comics as art and experiments with the possibilities of visual storytelling in various art forms.

Every spring, Fumetto presents the most important comic artists and up-and-coming talents from all over the world for nine days in Lucerne. With around 8 main and 50 satellite exhibitions, the festival brings comics to life for adults, young people and children. The exhibition venues are spread throughout the city of Lucerne and the surrounding area.

Over the past 30 years, Fumetto has evolved from a regional event into one of the most important platforms for the comic art form. With around 30,000 visitors, it is now one of the biggest events in the festival city of Lucerne and one of the most important international comic festivals in Europe.

With a varied program, Fumetto not only invites visitors to experience and discover, but also conveys the medium of comics for every age group and is a place for professional exchange. Handouts, guided tours, readings, talks and live drawing provide an exciting insight into the world of comics.
