Pro Natura nature trail at Lake Baldegg: protected nature in the Lucerne Seetal valley

Nature reserve
Welcome to the Pro Natura nature experience trail on Lake Baldegg, a paradise for nature lovers.
The trail stretches between Hochdorf and Baldegg railroad stations and offers ideal opportunities to observe nature at five marked observation stations. Large-format overview maps at the start and end of the trail and richly illustrated boards at the stations provide information about the habitats and their typical animal and plant species. The natural gravel path is suitable for baby carriages and therefore perfect for a family outing.

Ronfeld - a hotspot of biodiversity
A detour to the species-rich wetland area on the southern shore of Lake Baldegg, known as Ronfeld, is particularly worthwhile. From spring to fall, you can discover an impressive variety of flora and fauna here. The observation hut and privacy screen allow you to experience nature undisturbed.

Experiencing nature in the nature reserve
Lake Baldeggersee, nestled in the Lucerne Seetal valley between Hochdorf and Hitzkirch, offers an almost continuous hiking trail along the shore on the eastern side. Dogs must be kept on a lead along the entire shore path. Swimming is only permitted at the bathing areas in Baldegg and Gelfingen. The use of boats and swimming equipment (SUP, air mattresses, etc.) is only permitted in the bathing areas. Rangers and supervisory teams regularly check compliance with the protection regulations.

Opening hours
The nature trail is open all year round and accessible free of charge.
