Gersau - Büel - Rüteli - Sellen - Chollerboden - Mettlen - Rotacher - Gersau

This adventure route is marked with "Following Nature's Trail" signs and leads half on natural paths and half on paved roads.

The starting point of your circular hike is the Gersau boat station. On the mountain hiking trail, be sure to plan a detour to Kirchenflueloch: A breathtaking view of Gersau, the lake, and the Pilatus in the background is the highlight of the informative hiking route.

At seven stations, interesting habitats are portrayed. You will learn interesting facts about around 40 different plants, shrubs, and trees.

Another eight stations point out the geological peculiarity of the Gersau area. You will encounter glacial deposits, smoothly rounded rocks, massive granite erratics, and also shell fossils. The village of Gersau lies on a large alluvial cone, which was formed in geologically recent times. In the Acher area, you will learn interesting facts about water use at a high-pressure micro-hydropower plant.
