The easy hike takes you from Klewenalp to the pilgrimage village Niederrickenbach.

Refuel your energy at the natural Energy Center Maria Rickenbach. The hike offers a great panorama of the mountains and Lake Lucerne.

The hike starts at the Klewenalp mountain station, where you'll find the marmot enclosure and the Ricola herb garden. Besides the beautiful Klewenalp chapel, there are also a few restaurants for a cozy stay. At the gentle ascent up to Staffel, the tipi village at the foot of the Schwalmis is also nearby. After about an hour, you reach the ascent to Bärfallen, from where you have a wide view over Lake Lucerne. The word Bär often means steep ascent or descent, and this is exactly how the descent to Ahorn begins here.
Further down, the view falls on Niederrickenbach. Here, you can also make a detour to Brisenhaus. Before that, you pass Steinrüti, a nice resting place at the water reservoir. The whole Maria Rickenbach region has plenty of fireplaces. In just a few minutes, you reach the mountain station of the Niederrickenbach aerial cableway.
