From the Chileflueloch, you get a bird's-eye view down to Gersau. The path leading there is also worth the trip – especially towards the end of the hiking season.

This easy-to-walk, wonderfully scenic route around Gersau is already worth the trip due to its natural beauty – best in spring or late autumn when it is not too hot. Information boards also provide details about the flora, fauna, and geology around Gersau. The highlight is the Chileflueloch. From here you have an overview of all of Gersau, and the eye wanders far across Lake Lucerne to the Bürgenstock. The path then descends down to the Teuffibachtobel and finds its way back to Gersau. By the way: Did you know that Gersau was a republic with its own judiciary until 1818?

At the Teuffibachtobel bridge, about 60 meters uphill to a footbridge. From here, an interesting geological outcrop with Nagelfluh and flysch rocks can be seen. If you continue a few more meters, you will see granite boulders everywhere from the former Reuss glacier.
