Directions

The hike begins with a ride on the world's first rotating gondola from Sattel to Hochstuckli, more precisely to Mostelberg. You first head southeast, to the right of the mountain station of the rotating gondola. The path passes a farmhouse, slightly downhill. Where the path forks, you go right towards the forest edge. Immediately at the forest edge begins the Engelstock adventure trail. The hiking trail passes the alpine hut and then turns left. Now it leads to the second larger clearing where the view opens towards the valley basin, Lake Uri and Rigi. Past the first farms, you finally reach Mostelegg after a slight ascent. Then it goes downhill towards Herrenboden and from there back to Mostelberg.
